The Sands Torquay

The Sands Torquay is a premium coastal resort situated at Torquay's northern headland, overlooking the foreshore reserve at Whites Beach.

The resort consists of two 3-level buildings which overlook the surrounding golf course and coastal dunes. These buildings are home to 112 luxuriously appointed rooms and suites, all featuring modern design elements and offering a relaxing sanctuary of personal space.

There are classic hotel-style rooms with either king or twin bedding, as well as rooms which are wheelchair accessible and dedicated dog-friendly rooms. The rooms include a cosy sitting area, work desk and either a balcony or patio providing urban or golf course views.

Experience the pinnacle of comfort and space by staying in one of the indulgent suites. The suites have an expansive living area, a dining table and offer balconies with either golf course or urban views. Suites are available in one or two bedroom configurations, with two bedroom suites having a second bathroom.

All rooms include free high-speed Wi-Fi, a 65 inch Smart TV with Foxtel channels, tea/coffee making facilities, mini fridge and an ensuite with luxury body and hair products.

Choose from several on-site dining options during your stay at the resort. For breakfast, head to Spike Cafe. Open each morning, it offers an appetising selection of freshly cooked breakfast items, lighter options and refreshments. Enjoy all day dining at Shirley at The Sands. This restaurant and bar offers a relaxed culinary experience with Mediterranean influences, featuring hotel classics and mains, traditional hand-stretched pizzas, kids meals and food theme nights. Bunkers has the same menu as Shirley at The Sands, with casual indoor and outdoor dining areas.

Located on the property are sensational recreational facilities including a 25 metre heated lap pool and a state of the art gymnasium.

Surrounding The Sands Torquay is a championship golf course with 18 challenging holes and a driving range. It has been moulded into the sand dunes and was designed by professional golfer Stuart Appleby.

Take a short walk to the end of the street where there is an extensive foreshore reserve with walking tracks, wetlands and large expanses of grass. The stunning sands and exhilarating ocean at Whites Beach are just a 5 minute walk from the resort.

Take a 4 minute drive into the heart of Torquay for extensive shopping and dining options. Otherwise, a 3 minute drive inland will take you to The Dunes Village which has a major supermarket and a selection of shops.
